Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends,
European Union and Poland undergo constant changes bringing closer to functioning of the electric energy sector according to the rules of a competitive market. In mid-2004 the option of free choice of electric energy supplier was gained theoretically by all business customers and on 1st of July 2007 each customer will be theoretically entitled to change their electric energy seller. Proposed new amendments to the Energy Law Act, the Programme for electric energy adopted by the government and new grid traffic and operation instructions for system operators create new conditions for functioning of the energy market in Poland and implementation of the TPA principle. However, numerous practical obstacles and lack of sufficient information about the possibilities, procedures and profits of this undertaking result in scarce number of customers who exercised their right to change the seller. Many consumers have not had the opportunity to learn about the offer of the electric energy sellers, they also have no knowledge what practical steps to undertake to exercise the right they are entitled to.
The idea to organize the first in Poland Energy Fair arose in 2004. The objective of the event is to organise a forum as a meeting place for everyone involved in the electric energy market. Over 100 participants attended the First Energy Fair in 2004. In 2005 the Second Energy Fair attracted over 150 representatives of Polish energy sector (including numerous consumers of electric energy). The Second Energy Fair, similarly to the Energy Fair of 2004 comprised a seminar and an exhibition. In 2005 during the first and second day of the fair the seminar included 18 presentations and two panel discussions with the representatives of the government, energy sector and energy consumers. 12 companies presented their offer in the fair section. Since Polish energy market is to be completely opened in the nearest future, having in mind growing interest in this kind of direct contact between energy consumers and sellers, as well as your suggestions and our experience, we would like to invite you for the next Energy Fair.
THIRD ENERGY FAIR JACHRANKA 2006
The Fair organised as a joint project the Industrial Energy Chamber (Izba Energetyki Przemys³owej i Odbiorców Energii and the Association of Energy Trading (Towarzystwo Obrotu Energiħ) in Warszawianka Conference Center in Jachranka will take place on 19 - 20 October 2006Following the tradition of the previous years we have decided to organize both seminar sessions and a trade fair floor where electric energy sellers will present their offers. The programme of this fair will reflect the opening of the electric energy market to all kinds of consumers. Seminars, beside the general part will include two sessions: the first one is intended for the consumers who have already changed their seller (or have taken certain measures to do so), the second one is for everyone wanting to learn what steps to take to buy electric energy from a new seller.
